We are deeply grateful to the organizers, participants, and supporters of the Play Like Ray Challenge, which raised an incredible $10,000 in support of the Forward Foundation.
Inspired by the legacy of Ray Sawada, a beloved husband, father, teammate, and community leader, this year’s Play Like Ray Challenge was especially meaningful. Ray’s commitment to living with integrity, courage, and heart continues to inspire—and this event was a powerful reflection of those values.
The event also honoured Ray’s close friendship with Chris Cayford, with whom he shared a deep bond both on and off the ice. Their connection reminds us of the importance of community and the strength we find in one another.
Funds raised through this event will support the Forward Foundation’s mission to create personal, joy-filled experiences for young adults living with life-limiting illnesses.
