Forward Foundation recently had the privilege of being the charity of choice at the Greater Vancouver Comets’ second annual “Pink the Rink” event. Held on November 12th at Planet Ice Coquitlam, the event was a resounding success, filled with passion, community spirit, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
The Greater Vancouver Comets, a dynamic U18 female hockey team from the BCEHL, demonstrated their prowess on the ice and their deep connection to the cause. Many of the team members have personal ties to young adults facing life-limiting illnesses, making this event especially meaningful. To honour these brave individuals, the players proudly wore jerseys bearing the names of loved ones affected by these conditions, turning their game into a tribute.
The “Pink the Rink” event raised awareness and funds for the Forward Foundation. This contribution will greatly aid our efforts in supporting young adults with life-limiting illnesses, providing them with meaningful experiences and connections.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Greater Vancouver Comets, their supporters, and everyone who participated in and contributed to this incredible event. Your support empowers us to continue our work, bringing hope and joy to those in need.
